Police Puzzled at Astronomic Increase in Missing Persons
Law enforcement representatives today are scratching their heads today, as reports of missing persons swell to record levels.
"It's unprecedented," Chief McDurmott of the London Police Force said in a statement. "It's like 10% of all the annual missing persons report filed all in one day." Beginning at the end of the day of May 21, 2011 GMT and moving like a wildfire across subsequent timezones, missing persons reports exploded over law enforcement desks worldwide.
"They [the disappearances] seem to be centered in historically Christianized parts of the world," states analyst Sherman Krauss, a member of a conservative German think tank. "If you watch the patterns here, most unusual activity happened in western Europe, South America, and pockets of Africa. North America saw a slight bump in activity, with almost no noticeable change in the Middle East."
Preliminary reports peg the increase in disappearances between 140,000 and 145,000. "What's really strange about these cases," Chief McDurmott continued, "is the apparent lack of motive. The list reads like a who's who of moral, upstanding citizens."
Some American individuals are hailing this as proof the Rapture has begun. Quotes Harold Camping, the largely ignored pseudo Christian apocalyptologist, "I find these reports to be right in line with my knowledge of Biblical End Times prediction. The only thing puzzling is that I -- along with every single person who followed my teachings -- am still here."
